Ulf, a visionary hospitality professional with a rich 40-year journey, showcases unparalleled expertise in management, culinary arts and the establishment of luxury trains and river cruises. Recognised for his ability to reinvigorate and structure hospitality organisations. Ulf is a strategic leader adept at fostering and leading high-performance teams. His extensive experience includes successfully operating the Eastern & Oriental Express and various River Cruises.In June 1992, Ulf joined Orient-Express Trains and Cruises, undertaking a pivotal role as a Senior Member of the Eastern & Oriental Express Train Project in Asia. Leading the operations of the historic launch of the Eastern & Oriental Express train in September 1993 and played a pivotal role as head of Passenger Services in the re-location of the E&O train operation from Singapore to Malaysia & Thailand.Ulf has Directed the operational setup of the Road to Mandalay River Cruise Ship in Burma, and continued in re-defining Boutique River Cruises in Vietnam in association with Uniworld and in Europe with RiverAdvice.Over two decades, he has demonstrated exceptional skills in setting up and structuring hospitality trains and cruise organizations. Ulf's illustrious career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and the continuous pursuit of elevated standards and technologies in the hospitality and luxury travel industry.
YASMINE MARTIN
Yasmine, is an EHL alumni and a distinguished executive in the tourism and hospitality industry, boasting an impressive 30-year career marked by remarkable achievements. Her talent for launching, full implementation and managing award-winning train and river cruise operations has shone brightly in diverse markets, including South Africa, Thailand, Burma, Singapore, and Peru. Yasmine's innovative spirit has breathed life into iconic products such as The Road to Mandalay, PeruRail´s The Hiram Bingham, The Andean Explorer Day Train, for IncaRail The Private, The 360 & their TicketSales offices in the Sacred Valley; guiding them from initial concept to successful implementation. As a strategic visionary, Yasmine excels in business transformation, project development, and operational advisory. Her hands-on approach to Project & Hotel Asset Management has earned her a reputation as a trusted expert. She has managed dialog between the private and public sector for railway ventures.
Yasmine's other skills are marketing & feasibility studies, revenue optimization strategies, management and franchise contract negotiations. When she is not setting up a project she is the active VP of TurismoCuida.org a DMO in LATAM.
DAVID GROSSNIKLAUS
a graduate of EHL Lausanne, he has built a global hospitality career across London, Dubai, Paris, and Switzerland, driven by a passion for cultural diversity and exceptional guest experiences. With over 25 years in luxury hospitality, he has traveled to more than 80 countries, shaping a distinctive, globally informed approach to operational excellence.
David’s expertise spans from hotel operations to investment advisory, development, and ownership support.
He has held senior roles and offers deep knowledge in F&B, licensing and management agreements, feasibility studies, brand strategy and global distribution systems.
He has contributed to high-profile developments including Orient Express La Dolce Vita, Donna Giovannelli in Venice,
Fairmont La Hacienda Alcaidesa in Spain, and luxury projects in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and East Africa with Starwood/Marriott.
